Hello! Just want to cover some of the products I decided to treat myself to toward the end of last month, and summarize my experiences with each of them so far.
As mascaras go, this formula in itself is great, however, I was not wowed by it’s corresponding brush. The mascara doesn’t dry into a crumbly, flaky disaster as I’m certain we’ve all experienced with some formulas. This gave me a sneaking suspicion that the clumps and obstacles I was experiencing had more to do with the shape of the brush. I’ve achieved much better results after switching out the mascara’s original brush for a brush with longer bristles, and I would suggest trying that out before writing the product off completely.
I decided to give these sample sized Ink Liners a try, as Kat Von D Tattoo Liner is my go to eyeliner, and I was not disappointed. The sample pack I purchased came with two colors, Trooper (black) and Hemingway (brown). Both look nice on, and have a bold finish that lasts throughout the day. I have not noticed a huge difference between the Ink Liner and the Tattoo Liner, aside from the felt tips having very slightly varying shapes, but both shapes work just as well and make the application process super easy.
So this is actually my second attempt at testing this primer, the first of which resulted in a pretty “it’s complicated” love/hate style relationship between this primer and myself. My initial impression of the product was that it was revolutionary- it provided great pore coverage, but also lessened the appearance of my seriously scary under eye circles. My issues with the product didn’t arise until about a week into regular use, when I realized that my skin (particularly in blackhead prone areas) was beginning to look horrible. I tried endless facial masks and steams in an attempt to unclog and detox my pores, but the primer eventually just became more of a struggle than it was worth.
However, this time around I’ve had a different experience with the product. I’m not sure if it’s due to changes in their formula or changes in my skin care routine, but I’ve used this primer every morning now for two weeks, and I’ve yet to experience any enlargement in the appearance of my pores, and the coverage is still just as effective as it was the first time I tested this primer. All in all, I will update you if there are any developments, but I have been very happy with this product thus far!
While absolutely more irritating to use than a cream, these masks are definitely more effective than cream. I’ve been using the eye masks for two weeks now, so no magic change, but I swear to you, some of my deepest wrinkles are already less noticeable, which is huge for me as I’ve never found a product that’s worked this well this quickly. An issue I’ve had with a lot of ant aging products is skin irritation, primarily redness and flakiness, which one certainly does not want around their eyes, but these masks are as gentle as they are effective, so I’m hopeful I will continue to see improvements and will definitely keep you informed!
